About Me
Hello! I'm Rivo Truupõld, an IT Specialist from Estonia with a strong foundation in web development, technical support, and hardware infrastructure management. Over the years, I've developed a versatile skill set that allows me to oversee large-scale hardware environments—tracking devices, managing software inventories, and ensuring seamless Windows updates across systems.
My journey began with web development, which I studied in school. These skills opened the door to data engineering, where I now specialize in organizing and visualizing complex datasets through intuitive and user-friendly websites with automated data features.
In my role at Tartu Local Government, I've had the opportunity to grow professionally—learning hands-on how to maintain robust IT systems and support a wide range of users and devices. This experience has also sparked my interest in cybersecurity. As a hobby, I'm exploring Security Operations Center (SOC) concepts and experimenting with tools like Wazuh to identify system vulnerabilities and strengthen digital defenses.
I'm always learning, always building, and always looking for new ways to improve the systems around me.
If you want to know more about my skill set, make sure to check out my portfolio. If you need any help, just ask and let's figure it out together!

My Skills
Web Development
- PHP: I've coded with pauses for a total of around 3-4 years.
- MySQL: Got my first introduction in 2015 when I was learning IT at school and started using it on a daily basis when learning data engineering.
- HTML and CSS: Proficient with no issues writing code in these languages.
- JavaScript: 3-4 years of experience; pretty good with Node.js.
- Python: 2 years—mostly used it on the CVKeskus project where I was scraping data from it.
Linux
- Started using it with my first operating system, Lubuntu, when I was 15 years old. I primarily use Ubuntu or Debian.
- Bash: An essential skill to automate tasks or sort data in data engineering.
- Built a SOC project based on Wazuh and learned how to use it.
- With my Data Engineering project, I've learned how important Linux is and how flexible it is for building solutions based on scraping trustworthy data with Python.
PowerShell
- Automated all software updates.
- Gathered all hardware and monitor serial numbers with models.
- Detected what devices are connected to PCs (even what mobile devices or USB sticks were connected).
- Managed all Windows updates, installed them, and viewed Windows update history.
- Identified what software each PC has, including software versions.
- With connected devices, managed to see all necessary printers available on network printers.
